The Ieron Kathisma with great care and love, supports along with other active citizens, our brothers who experience daily difficulties of survival.
It also helps by offering volunteer help to the nursing homes of both Kalamata and Gythio as well as the asylum of Kalamata. Particular emphasis is given to the mental and spiritual support of parents having children with autism.
The Ieron Kathisma also organizes speeches and workshops to sensitize believers and to help the gain acceptance and understanding of these fellow people of ours who suffer from these problems. It also stands as a major contributor of help for the School for Children with Special Needs of Kalamata. It also opens its arms to parents who mourn for their children and helps them to stand once again on their feet again.
